Amanda Doyle

Amanda is a solicitor of 20+ years experience. She was an executive board member of one of Europe’s most successful communications companies, Orange UK for 8 years.

She is a graduate of Warwick University and qualified as a Solicitor in 1988. After a period working in private practice, she moved in-house at Orange where she worked her way up through the ranks to become the Vice President of Legal and Regulatory.

Amanda is an experienced commercial lawyer, having worked on a wide range of commercial projects. She was responsible for setting up the legal frameworks for many key Orange marketing and sponsorship activities for instance: Orange Wednesdays, the 2 for 1 cinema ticket offer; Orange’s sponsorship of the BAFTA’s; the Orange Prize for Fiction and the sponsorship of a Formula 1 team. Other projects included the leadership of a high profile, network-sharing project and management of a major Competition Commission investigation on price control regulations.

Amanda has significant management expertise and is an experienced change manager. Whilst at Orange she was responsible for restructuring the legal function to align more effectively with organisational strategy and to achieve a headcount reduction of 20% without negative impact on performance. Later she integrated the legal and regulatory functions of Orange and its sister internet service provider Wanadoo, bringing together divergent team structures and cultures.

At the beginning of 2010 she set up Amanda Doyle Law Services and has been building the firm since. Amanda’s key aim is to bring a practical common sense approach to her client’s legal problems. She particularly enjoys using her long experience of supplying legal services at the sharp end of business to ensure she achieves that aim.
